During this phase of the process, we establish soil conditions, topography, tree locations and utility sources. In addition, sun rotations, wind sources, view corridors, privacy considerations and solar orientation are examined carefully and documented as well. The primary purpose of this phase is to provide a working underlayment upon which design concepts can be developed. The information gathered during this phase provides the seed from which the design concept flourishes.
